Tartare Steak

The story goes that the Tartar steak originated in the 12th century of our era, on the Central Asian Plateau, more precisely in the then Mongolian Empire. Namely, the horsemen of the Tatar tribes used to place pieces of raw meat under their saddles during their war campaigns, which would soften from the blows of the riders. Various herbs were added to the softened meat in order to mask the taste of raw meat as much as possible and make it as pleasant as possible.

Whether this story is true or just a myth, a lot of time has passed since then and steak tartar has received countless forms and ways of preparation. The steak tartare that you eat at Tomy restaurant has close to 20 different spices and is the result of a 10-year tradition of gourmet experimentation with lots of wine, friends and laughter.
